Kansas has a fair system that ensures our state Supreme Court justices are unbiased. Don't let billionaires and special interests buy our Supreme Court.
Kansas has a battle-tested, trusted system for selecting Supreme Court justices, one designed to keep politics out of our courts. Justices are nominated through a merit-based process that ensures voices across the state are heard, and Kansans already get to vote on if justices should keep their jobs. It’s a system that balances independence with accountability and has served our state well for generations.
The proposed amendment would dismantle Kansas’s fair system and replace it with partisan elections, turning our justices into politicians. Instead of weighing the law and the facts of each case, they’d be forced to answer to political parties, special interests, and big donors. In Wisconsin, wealthy donors spent over $90 million trying to sway a single Supreme Court race, money that came with strings attached. That’s not impartial justice, it’s politics as usual. Kansans deserve better: a system that protects our courts from party bosses and billionaire influence, not one that makes judges beholden to them.
In August, Vote No to keep our courts independent.
